AI Creates Colorful Images of Stones and Objects When Learned from Arcimboldo and “Negates” Botticelli

When given the name of Arcimboldo to Stable Diffusion 2.1, it produces paintings similar to what Arcimboldo himself painted. However, providing Arcimboldo as a positive prompt along with the name of another painter as a negative prompt results in various transformations in the art. In this case, I will focus on Botticelli.

First, let's consider the scenario where only Arcimboldo's name is given as a positive prompt, and Botticelli's name is given as a negative prompt. In this case, a single face is depicted at the center, but the face and surrounding elements are diverse. Some faces may appear to be female, but often, gender is not discernible.

When providing both Arcimboldo's name as positive and negative prompts, and Botticelli as a negative prompt, the result is an image that looks quite different from Arcimboldo's usual paintings. It appears like a face constructed from colorful stones and objects.

While usually, Arcimboldo's name alone results in paintings of men with vegetables or flowers, it is surprising to see that by providing just one name as a negative prompt, entirely different images like these can be created.
