Dasyn to Exhibit and Sell Posters at Design Festa on November 11-12

At Design Festa vol.58 held at Tokyo Big Sight, I will select and exhibit 36 out of over 40,000 images. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to purchase other posters along with them. The exhibition is titled “Free Artistic Creations by AI,” and our booth is B-137. Except for some posters that are available for immediate purchase, posters will be shipped in about a week. However, you can buy postcards on the spot. While we have occasionally exhibited 3D design lamps and other items at Design Festa in the past, this is the first time I am displaying posters.

About the Exhibition

The image-generating AI called Stable Diffusion has created various images. We provide this AI with short phrases (prompts) of about 1 to 3 words, allowing it to freely “imagine” based on its knowledge. Many AI artists create realistic images like photos or anime images, but in reality, image-generating AI lacks knowledge about the structure of real-world things such as the human body, making it unsuitable for creating realistic images. Therefore, Dasyn focuses on creating artistic, particularly abstract images. Recently, we have been using the exhibitor's name (Yasusi Kanada) as a prompt to create images. In Stable Diffusion XL, even when influences from ukiyo-e artists and famous painters are removed from the “content” of the exhibitor's name (i.e., even when their names are used as a negative prompt), rich-content images are generated. Among the attached images, the first two are based on prompts that do not include the exhibitor's name, and the remaining two are based on prompts that include it.
