A blog related to original AI artworks. I make AI artworks using coined words and emoji as prompts.

Registering AI Art Created on Pinterest

2023-05-13 10:19

Although I have been releasing original AI art images on Pinterest in small amounts, I recently found a way to register them on Pinterest with relatively little effort, so I am now using it to distribute AI art images.

Instagram is often used as a way to release original images such as photos, but using Pinterest is also another option. With Pinterest, you can create various collections not only with your own images but also with others' images. I have been sharing various patterns, textures, and photos of Gaudi's architecture sent from Pinterest by including them in a collection in my Pinterest page. The following images are a list of my Pinterest collections and the original AI art collection within them. Although this collection alone has already registered more than 4800 images, I have not subdivided it.

Although I tried Instagram to distribute AI art images, now I think Pinterest has some advantages. While Instagram provides immediate feedback to a certain extent, it does not spread well as I have few followers. Although the number of followers on Pinterest is limited, I am using it to distribute AI art images as I found a way to register them with relatively little effort.

There are two ways to register images on Pinterest: directly inputting the image (by drag-and-drop) and registering the web page where the image is located. Similar to Instagram, when inputting images directly, additional information must be input directly, which is quite troublesome. This is also why I stopped using Instagram. On the other hand, if registering via a web page, Pinterest will gather the information from that page. It can also gather multiple images from one page.

Each image on this site has its own dedicated page, so ideally it would be best to register each page for each image, but that would require as much effort as directly registering each image. Therefore, we have created a dedicated page for registering on Pinterest. The images arranged on the normal category pages are small (100x100 size) to reduce my task. However, for registering on Pinterest, larger images are better, so we have arranged 600x600 size images on this registration page. Also, Pinterest allows up to 10 images to be registered from one page, so we have set the number of images per page to 10. An example of such a page is shown in the image below.

Although this page actually exists, it is dedicated to registration on Pinterest, so no URL is provided here. The number of images that can be registered at once is limited, so I register the maximum number of images of the day.
