A blog related to original AI artworks.
Until now, I had referred to my method of “giving the AI various short phrases consisting of about one to three words, and letting it draw freely based on its own internal knowledge and imagination” as MWAIP (Minimal-Words AI Painting). However, when preparing a press release related to my publication, I decided to change the term to ISAP (Idea-Steering AI Art Practice). The term ISAP was coined through various conversations with ChatGPT 5.
What was missing in MWAIP was an explicit expression of “letting the AI imagine freely based on its own knowledge.” In the press release issued on PR TIMES (in Japanese), I described it as follows: “ISAP (Idea-Steering AI Art Practice) is an original image-generation method that guides the AI while allowing it to create freely, using short positive and negative prompts composed of a few words. In Stable Diffusion, in addition to the usual prompts (elements you want to generate), you can also specify negative prompts (elements you want to exclude). ISAP is a creative process that draws out the AI’s diverse artistic knowledge through the differences and contrasts between these two kinds of prompts, leading it toward new ideas.”

In any case, in the past I had no one to consult about such decisions, so I used to determine names or the wording of press releases entirely on my own. Now that I can use ChatGPT, those processes have improved dramatically.
