Dasyn opened a booth (H-92) in Design Festa vol. 52 at Tokyo Big Sight on November 7 to 8. Dasyn exhibited and sold LED candle pots and caps, and icicle-like LED candles. More detailed information is available in Japanese.
Dasyn opened a new business site (in Japanese): 3d-dl.com. 3D-design-lamp products can be selected in many ways in this site.
Most of Dasyn's products are generated by the helical 3D printing method and a parametric design interface. A brief explanation on this interface has been described.
Dasyn opened a booth in Sumer Design Festa 2019 at Aomi Pavilion of Tokyo Big Sight on August 3 to 4. Dasyn exhibited and sold LED candles with 3D-printed pots and icicle-like LED candles.
This is the first time Dasyn joined the summer design festa. Both types of LED candles sold better than the web shop. It was probably easier for people to see the sttractiveness of these LED candles than photos and explanations on the web. More detailed information is available in Japanese.
Dasyn opened a booth in Tokyo Business Frontier, which is a part of Tokyo International Industry Exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight in November 14-16.
Tokyo Business Frontier was produced by Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center.
Twenty companies were selected and opened a booth, which was fully supported by the center.
Dasyn was one of them.
A more detailed explanation in Japanese is available at the CTO's blog article.
As described before, on November 14 to 16, Dasyn will exhibit products of the helical 3D printing in the Tokyo Business Frontier (TBF), which is a part of the New Value Creation Exhibition. A new version of fryer is shown below. The web page for Dasyn.com for the TBF is also shown.
Dasyn applied the Tokyo Business Frontier, which is a part of the New Value Creation Exhibition and is produced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center. Twenty companies and business units, including Dasyn.com, were selected for this event. Dasyn.com will exhibit brilliant and light objects printed by the original helical 3D printing method, and show the printing process by a 3D printer.
Dasyn opened a booth in Maker Faire Tokyo 2018 at Tokyo Big Sight on August 4 to 5. Dasyn exhibited and sold LED candle pots with moiré patterns, icicle-like LED candles, and bulbs with sparkling 3D-printed shades. Dasyn also opened a mini hands-on (workshop). In this hands-on, visitors can design and print plastic bulb covers and assemble LED chandelier bulbs. Nine visitors chose favorite cover designs, modified them, and created their own bulbs with a 3D printer. More detailed information is available in Japanese.
Dasyn joined 47th Design Festa, which was held on May 12 to 13 at Tokyo Big Sight. Main focus in this time was LED candle pots and table stands using 3D-printed transparent plastic (PLA) with very fine moaré patterns. These patterns are generated by combining three waves at design time. These waves are mapped to print head motion; that is, the first two are generated by shaking the 3D print head vertically and the third wave is generated by shaking the head horizontally.
Dasyn shop sells various types of LED bulbs with 3D-printed covers (shades). Photos of recently added products are shown here.
Dasyn joined 46th Design Festa, which was held on November 11 to 12 at Tokyo Big Sight. Main focus in this time was Christmas, although it is still long time to Christmas. A Christmas tree with a set of illumination LEDs with 3D-printed shades and with 3D-printed ornaments was displayed. Bulbs with 3D-printed covers, light and transparent globes, and USB stands and pendants with 3D-printed shades were also displayed. These shades and ornaments were printed by the helical 3D printing method using transparent plastic (PLA).
Dasyn opened a booth in Maker Faire Tokyo 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight on August 5 to 6. Dasyn exhibited and sold bulbs and lamps with sparkling 3D-printed shades. Dasyn also opened a mini hands-on (workshop). In this hands-on, visitors can design PLA bulb covers and assemble LED bulbs. Five visitors chose favorite cover designs, modified them, and created their own bulbs with a 3D printer. Printing ABS globe stands were also demonstrated. Moreover, many prefabricated bulbs and shades with AC 100 V, DC 12 V, USB (5 V), or battery power supplies, which included ice-cream bulbs (see the second photo), were displayed and sold. More detailed information is available in Japanese.
The main image of Dasyn's main shop in Yahoo! shopping was recently replaced. The new title contains photos of recent products and a copy, i.e., “why don't you replace your filament and fluorescent lamps by well-designed LED lamps?”. It also contains the name and mail address of Dasyn.
Dasyn joined HandMade Japan on July 22 to 23 at Tokyo Big Sight. Dasyn exhibited and sold bulbs and lamps with sparkling 3D-printed shades. Three types of lamps, i.e., ones for AC 100 V, ones for DC 12 V, and ones for coin batteries, were displayed.
I recommended customers to replace filament and fluorescent lamps by designed LED lamps, and I also offered to design LED bulbs by themselves. I accepted one on-the-fly design order of a lamp with batteries, but no other orders.
Dasyn.com created a brochure for Maker Faire Tokyo, which is described mainly in Japanese.
This brochure describes technologies, products, and prototypes, which have been
recently developed by Dasyn.com.
The subtitle for this brochure is “Toward Collaborative LED Lighting Design by
Helical 3D Printing”.
